The CSTAT platform was designed by technical people with backgrounds in field inspections.

As we started to design our platform, we surveyed prospective users to see if they would rather have CSTAT create their forms and outputs or create the forms and output themselves. Overwhelmingly the response was “we do not want to have to create forms.”

We directed our programmers to create software where CSTAT could create mobile forms and outputs without the need for additional programming for each new client. This would accelerate the form building process and keep usage costs affordable.

Our mobile app and webapp were designed to be simple for the user. Our platform truly is like the analogy of a duck on the water, where the duck appears calm on the surface but is kicking away under the surface.

 Platform FAQs

  • CSTAT sets itself apart from many other field form platforms since we create the customized mobile form for you. We eliminate the need for you and/or your staff to spend hours watching instructional videos and being frustrated through trial and error to create your own form.

  • In most situations, CSTAT does not charge a fee for the creation of a customized mobile form and output. However, for mobile forms and outputs that take more than a couple of hours to create, there may be a nominal fee (typically between $200 and $500).

  • You will need to provide CSTAT with any field form you currently use or provide us with a report or document for which field data should populate. CSTAT will create your mobile form and then conduct a webinar with you to demonstrate the data collection process on the CSTAT mobile app. Changes to the mobile form are made “live” during the webinar and staff can pilot the form immediately following the webinar. Any changes to the mobile form can be made during the webinar or following the pilot.

  • Typically, your customized mobile form and output is ready within one to two weeks. Should you have an urgent requirement, we can expedite your request.

  • The CSTAT mobile app operates on iOS and Android smart phones and tablets.

  • The CSTAT mobile app operates with or without a cellular connection. If you anticipate that a cellular connection may not be available, you can download the mobile form to your mobile device and use it offline. Once a cellular connection is available, the user syncs the collected data with the CSTAT cloud.

  • There are numerous ways collected field data can be outputted: 1) populate data directly into a Word document; 2) place data directly onto an existing PDF form; 3) export the data as an Excel spreadsheet; and 4) have the data pulled through our available application protocol interface (API). CSTAT can also even create a custom dashboard to display site data. Customization and flexibility is what truly sets CSTAT apart.
